Bada Bagh Located on Ramgarh road, about halfway between Jaisalmer and Lodurva, Bada Bagh or Bara Bagh is a historical garden. One of the main attractions of this bagh is its beautiful sandstone cenotaphs or chhatris perched high on a hill. When you look around, you might notice that the chhatris range in size. This represents the status of a family member. Also, don't miss the breathtaking sunsets here. Jaswant Thada - India's Best-Kept Holiday Secret Jaswant Thada, which is a complex of white buildings in Jodhpur, and India's Cenotaphs of Marwar Rulers are the worlds of three different cultures. The buildings showcase a fusion of Indian, Islamic, and European architectural styles that reflect a unique time period in history when India was being modernized.

One of the most well-known attractions in Ranakpur is its 550-year-old Jain temple made out of white marble. Within the main temple, there are a number of shrines that are really worth visiting. Kumbalgarh Fort As the second largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China, Kumbhalgarh fort in Rajasthan has made its mark in history. The mighty fort surrounds Udaipur and is 3600 feet high and 38 kilometers long. Located at the top of a hill, the fort offers a great view of the surrounding countryside. The fort also gives the opportunity to witness many palaces, gardens, temples, and water storage facilities within the fort, which make it a major attraction. In addition to the fort, Kumbhalgarh is full of other interesting sites for tourists. Like Badal Mahal, which has many beautiful apartments painted in pastel colors with beautiful murals on the walls. It is also worth visiting Haldighati, where Rana Pratap fought the massive forces of Akbar during the Battle of 1576. This area is home to a lovely canopy dedicated to Rana Pratap. Udaipur has a lot to offer tourists that is impossible to cover in a single day. Thus, we have created this itinerary as a 2-day package for your stay in Udaipur. Major sites to cover for the 12th day are as follows : City Palace, Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple, and Monsoon Palace 1. City Palace City Palace in Jaipur is a well-known tourist attraction in the old part of town. This vast palace complex was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 1729-1732, occupying one-seventh of the walled city. There are a number of courtyards, buildings, and gardens in the palace, including the Mubarak Mahal and the Chandra Mahal. At the City Palace Museum, there are a number of unique handcrafted products presented in the form of exhibits that reflect the royal heritage of the palace. Plus it also has an acute and detailed facade that combines Mughal and Rajput architectural styles. Despite the fact that the outer walls of the palace were built by Jai Singh II, the palace itself has undergone a variety of changes over the years, some of them dating back as far as the early 20th century. There are three gates in the City Palace, of which two are open to the public: the Virendra Pol and the Udai Pol. Apart from the palace's regal architecture, it also provides an insight into a rich heritage of a bygone era, as well as a stunning view of the Pink City. Jag Niwas is home to Udaipur’s most famous palace, widely known as “Taj Palace” or “Lake Palace.” This majestic palace is one of the finest luxury hotels today in Udaipur by the Taj group. A visit to this palace will mesmerize you with its beautiful architecture and history, as it is filled with many themes and things connected to royal families. In the middle of Lake Pichola is Jag Mandir, which looks no less than a marble floating residence. This place can be reached by boat from Bansi Ghat. Gul Mahal and a small museum are two of the main attractions at Jag Mandir Palace. There are a lot of beautiful murals and paintings surrounding the Gul Mahal that make the building look very luxurious. Lake Pichola boat rides are also a must. Experiencing the beauty and charm of the lake requires this activity. 3. Jagdish Temple Built-in 1651, Jagdish Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple features an awe-inspiring pagoda which is 24 meters high and adorned with sculptures of musicians, elephants, ballet dancers, and horsemen. It is the city's biggest and most magnificent temple. Visitors are greeted by two enormous stone elephants at the entrance. Then one must climb 32 marble steps to reach the main shrine. In the inner corner of the doorway of Lord Vishnu is an image of Garuda (celestial bird), who guards the entrance to his abode. A total of four smaller shrines are surrounded by the main shrine, each dedicated to different gods and goddesses. Since this is an exotic temple, you should inspect every corner of it. You can also discover more about the stories behind 50 pillars and the paintings on the temple walls. Furthermore, if you wish to offer Lord Vishnu garlands and sweets, you can find many shops and hawkers nearby. 4. Monsoon Palace Perched atop a hill, the Monsoon Palace illuminates Udaipur's skyline. This palace, once known as Sajjangarh Palace, provides a panoramic view of the surrounding lakes, countryside, and palaces. Monsoon Palace is best viewed during sunsets in Udaipur because the orange glow reflects off the palace. This palatial residence is located high in the Aravali mountains, overlooking Lake Pichola and Fatehsagar Lake. A visit to this palace will also give you the opportunity to see Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary at the bottom of the hill. This sanctuary surrounding the Monsoon Palace is home to reptiles, wild boars, sambhars, nilgais, tigers, hyenas, and panthers. The Aravalli hills can even be enjoyed from Gorilla Point to Bari Lake on a fun jungle safari.
There is a wealth of beautiful lakes around Udaipur, which is surrounded by the lush green hills of the Aravallis. Hence, it is often called the city of lakes. Therefore the final day of our Udaipur trip will be spent exploring some of the best lakes, such as Lake Badi and Fateh Sagar. We will also visit the local bazaars in this paradisiacal place. 1. Lake Badi There is an artificial freshwater lake called Badi Lake on the outskirts of the city. Badi Lake was built between 1652 and 1680 by Maharaja Raj Singh, covering a huge area of 155 square kilometers. Badi Lake is popular as a picnic spot, and a place to enjoy utter peace and tranquility because it is not surrounded by tourist crowds. Swimming is also possible in the lake, and there are a number of kiosks (shamiyanas) along the embankments for relaxation. Another major attraction at the place is a hilltop called 'Bahubali.’ Aerial views of the landscape can be enjoyed here. Bahubali hill is even suitable for trekking. In recent years, this activity has gained a lot of momentum and popularity among tourists. It is not recommended to take children on the trek since it is rather tricky. The right diversion from Badi Lake will lead you to this trek. Keep going until you come across a tin shop and a temple across the direction of 'Silence Resort.' 2. Fateh Sagar Lake Fateh Sagar, an artificial lake in the shape of a pear, consists of three tiny islands. So, visiting each island is one of the most common activities at the lake. On the first island, Nehru Park has been created. Spend some time at Nehru Park if you love art and nature. Another island is home to beautiful water fountains. These fountains are lit up in the evening to enhance the beauty of the area. Those who are fascinated with astronomy will be delighted to learn that the third island houses the region's best solar observatory, Udaipur Solar Observatory. The above three islands can be explored by taking a scenic boat ride and enjoying the view of the lake. Your heart will melt when you visit this place. Boat rides take you close to the Aravalli hills and soothe your mind. For those with a sense of adventure, there are speedboats available.
